1 months old today

The puppies are all doing extremely well. Khia is getting to a stage where she starts avoiding them a little as their sharp teeth are now hurting her teats. They are therefore taking more and more solid food...

Here's some piccies taken by Pauline this morning.

4 weeks old today

Time flies and it's already 4 weeks since little Jesse and co entered this world on Boxing Day!

Pauline is going to see whether the Kennel Club will accept Weiambea Take It Easy as a kennel name for Jesse. I came up with this suggestion on our way home on Sunday as he seems to be so laid back. I hope that can be his name.

Yippee... we went to see him!

Today, we went to see Jesse and co. as well as of course Pauline and Leigh. It was quite a long journey (4 hours there and 4 back), but well worth it. Con and Josie came as well and everyone absolutely loved it.

When we first arrived, we met the puppies that Pauline took out into the sitting room. We all had a cuddle... all the puppies are gorgeous, but of course Jesse is super gorgeous! After seeing all the pictures of him, it was lovely to finally see him in the flesh! He is even more beautiful than in the pictures. They are also getting their first little teeth!

After cuddling them, they wanted a quick snack meal from mum, then they went back into their pen for a nap!

Pauline and Leigh then produced really nice sandwiches, crisps etc. It went down very well indeed!

Just before we went, I sat in the puppy pen for a few minutes to spend a little more time with Jesse. He is so laid back and just takes it all in his stride! I can't wait to bring him home!

Oh, and we also heard Jesse's very first bark... LOL

And here we go... the pictures!

Jesse... his hair is getting longer and he looks all wavey...

Isn't he just beautiful!

And here's Jesse with his sister Jazz

Khia is a very patient and lovely mum to her pups

Khia is stunning

And I love these two pictures of Presley and Minnie

And Jesse had his first face clip today... Pauline took a picture!

After meeting Pauline and Leigh personally, Jesse and the other dogs, I now have peace of mind and confirmation that I have made the right decisions re breeder (dogs brought up indoors, everything very clean, dogs happy and friendly, very knowledgeable people etc.) and also re Jesse. His laid back nature (from what we could see so far) will be perfect and he will fit right in with Dylan, Flash and Troy!

Jesse on the move

The puppies had a meaty meal today. Pauline says that Jesse wasn't too keen... Maybe he knows that his brother-to-be is a vegan dog and he reckons he'll give it a go too.. LOL

And Jesse finally on the move...

Organising Sunday

We are going to see Jesse this Sunday. Karen has kindly agreed to doggie sit Dylan, Flash and Troy for us, so I don't have to worry about them when we are in the house with the puppies.

Also, Pauline is working on a kennel name for Jesse. There are some suggestions, but I will ask Cornel tonight as he is a western fan. It will be something connected to Jesse James I am sure... perhaps Cornel will like the name a bit better then too...

I will need to remember to bring a towel/blanket or something with me to leave behind with Pauline. When we pick Jesse up we can take it back with us so he has got something smelling familiar to him.
