We have got our second Beginners Win! YAY!

And we did it. Jesse got his second Beginners win today, by the skin of his teeth... but only because he was yappy during the round which costs him 1/2 point. But he won with 1/4 to the second placed dog. I am so happy to finally be out of Beginners. And I am happy and comfortable now as well to work in Novice.

Amazing judge's report!

I can't believe what I am reading, it's just amazing what judge Jess Allen wrote up about Jesse. It can't get better than this.

WOW! What a performance from this team. A powerful, stylish, happy little chap, with an impressive knowledge of the correct heel position and held it beautifully throughout both heelwork exercises. Executing sharp turns, this boy’s attention never skipped a beat. Very accurate set exercises, punctuated with exuberance, everything you need to go further in this game, and I’m sure you will. He could easily hold his own in Novice. Well done on your win today, and good luck for the next one.

And now the promotion video that was filmed at the weekend has just been released. Jesse can be seen at 9 minutes 12 seconds. So proud.

Lots of congrats...

And here are the official pictures by Dave Scott:

We are getting lots of congratulations from everyone, love it. Below are the ones on ObedienceUK so far.

1st in Beginners - YAY

We have finally done it! Jesse and I won our first Beginners today at BAGSD Southern Area. Jesse worked a lovely round with only one blip at the end of heelwork where he came right off my leg before sitting in the right position. Everything else was really great. AND he did clear stays! :-)

We were tied 1st all the way through, but the other lady got deducted 1/4 for fidgeting in the stays, so we ended up first without having to do a run off! For once, luck was on our side.

I am so over the moon! Totally happy.

In addition, we got a winners picture taken by the official photographer (Dave Scott).

Also, for the first time ever Jesse relaxed in the car for a little while rather than sitting a staring and he even talked nicely to a puppy for the first time ever.

And to round it all off, we were asked to do some heelwork and recall for an obedience promotion video - so Jesse has just been a star from beginning to end. So proud of my boy!
